Mi Familia

Just wanted to share this two page layout I created using the May 18th Sketchy Saturdays Sketch.
I call this layout
Mi Familia

This layout was created with a Storytellersclub Kit for one of their May Scrapping Days Challenges.

We had to use items from our kitchen. I used a coffee filter and a cupcake liner. Can you see them both sitting behind the sun?

This layout was based off of this Sketchy Saturday Sketch.

I hope that you have enjoyed my project as much as I enjoyed sharing it with you. I love receiving comments and new followers. It means so much to me! So please feel free to drop me a note and follow my blog for more inspiration, giveaways, and tips.

You Tube Tuesdays

Hello Crafty friends!!
 It's time for
YOU TUBE TUESDAYS
Every Tuesday I will be featuring a new You Tube video that pertains to scrapbooking, card making, or crafting in general. Some of the videos may come from me, Connie Can Crop but most of them will be coming from various videos that have already been uploaded by someone on You Tube.

This is a great way to see some new things, become inspired, and learn different techniques.

Todays video is all about stencils and the many ways you can use the on your layouts or cards. Over at Storytellersclub we have been given stencils as a challenge and to be honest I own several but have never used them. So I thought this video by Mollyscrap would be awesome for anyone who is afraid to stencil, like me.

Please be sure to follow me for more creations and inspiration. And don't forget  only a few more days to enter my Monthly Challenge! Enter for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to The Paper Nest Dolls!!

Hug Your Cat Day Blog Hop

Are you a crazy cat lady, but in a good way? I know I am. Today is Purina’s Hug you cat day. There are several hug your cat days and I would love to hug my cat(s) on each and everyone. Today we are celebrating cats! Diamonds, dogs’ pfft. Cats are a woman’s best friend.

I am a cat lover! I have had cats in my life forever. Some have been a part of my family for many years! (RIP Bob!!) Others have just happened to choose me as their lucky owner. That's how we got Harryette! She was abandoned as a kitten near my home and was apparently living in the bushes next to my house. I went out to get the mail one day and she followed me home. She was the scrawniest, ugliest kitten I have ever had but she quickly grew into our hearts and is now a loved member of our family. Couldn't imagine waking up in the morning without her snuggled next to me on my bed!

Today we are celebrating with all kinds of cat projects.
So sit back and lets hang out.

In honor of cats everywhere here is my kitty project:

I had some scraps left over that were perfect for this altered notebook!

The Kitty Die Cut is from the Cricut Catridge Doodlecharms

Gotta have a pretty back too.

Throwback Thursdays

Welcome to Throwback Thursdays!

A new kind of fun on my blog where you get to see projects I have created in my early days of scrapbooking. Some of these projects may surprise you! (Because we all start somewhere!) LOL!

This week for my throwback I am featuring one of my first mini albums! My layout posted yesterday made me think of my family and how much they all mean to me. And this mini album is a showcase of my family!

It's a 6x6 chipboard accordion album and my biggest mistake here was modge podge. LOL! I went nuts and decided everything needed a good coating of it. So this album is a little...crunchy (best way to describe it)! None the less it means a lot to me.
